New Jersey 96 and Boston 88. The Nets advance to the championship..Congrats Nets!!!!! I didn't see most of the game, but I know that the Nets never gave up and had a fairly good lead. Now they wait to see the results of the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings game, which is currently down to the last 19 seconds of the game. In my opinion, it seems that there will be a game 7 and it will be in Sacramento. This game is very close in score. Stayed tune for the final result....
Lakers win 106 Kings 102, they advanced to Game 7. Darn Kings! What is up with them??? Again, like all the other games, it was a close score. So now, the Nets and everyone else have to wait Sunday to see who will represent the western conference. Like I said prior if the Nets meet the Lakers in the championship, I want the Nets to take it all the way!!!!!!
As a thoughtful gesture, I decided to buy a bouquet of flowers for a co-worker, who wasn't going to be here next week. The occasion?? Well, she celebrates her birthday on Monday and we decided to get her a birthday cake and celebrate it a bit early. She was presented the bouquet, as she came in to work. I came up to her, holding the flowers and she asked if it was for her. Of course!!! She was already happy that it was Friday, she was getting a birthday cake, it was payday and the flowers made her day. It feels wonderful to see the joy on someone's face, when they receive flowers or a gift. Just the little things can make such an impression to someone....
Thinking that the weather would be nice today. I decided to take a stroll around the financial district. To my surprise, it was windy and not that warm. There were some errands that I need to take care of. As usual, the streets were crowded with people who didn't know how to walk. They are talking and taking their sweet time. The mood that I am having today, made me want to shove them aside and tell them off. But I saw this cute little yorkie, that was cut and trimmed real neat. It looked so adorable, that I had to smile. My mood started to lighten up a bit and I just went on my merry way to work....
There was an article that I noticed in the newspaper that someone was reading on my ride to work this morning. I read a bit about it, regarding that workers removed the last piece of paneling to the WTC. Thoughts of seeing Ground Zero came to mind. Last April of this year, I was there to see workers removed the remaining rubble. There was a moment of silence as people went to the viewing deck to observe the empty space in the sky. Looking below and imagining the vision of people running for their lives sent an eerie feeling through me. My eyes started to get watery as those thoughts and memories of that day went through my mind. Not a dry eye in the crowd of viewers that looked and stood in a moment of silence...
So, tell me what is going on here? Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtic are veterans of NBA Champions. Now we have the Sacramento Kings and New Jersey Nets vying for the title. I remember when the Lakers met up with the Kings for a NBA title and Lakers creamed the Kings. But so far the scores have been so close. If the Lakers should win their conference and they go up against the Nets. My choice would be the Nets to win. Can the Kings win game six and go to the championship and will the Nets do the same? Well, come Friday, we will soon find out. Bring it on baby!!!
Even though I didn't get to see the Sacramento Kings play the 5th game with Los Angeles Lakers. Was very happy to hear that my boys won!!!!, 92 to 91. Wheeeew that was a close score. But something tells me, that the Lakers will pull through and win the division title and go to the championship. Series is now Kings 3 and Lakers 2. Kings can end the Lakers season by winning the next game. Hmmmm, can this happen? We shall see.....
You would think that after having a 3 day weekend and a four day work week, that the day would go by quickly. No such thing! Today it was dragging and time was going by so slowly. Partly, I guess cause some people in the office took extended days off and the atmosphere was quiet. Ho hum...
National holiday and in memory of those veterans whose lives were lost during the war. Thoughts of my late father come to mind, who died of a stroke over 5 years ago, and was a World War II veteran. He served in the army and would share his war stories, which I miss hearing. Not only was my father proud of his children, but most of all he was very proud to serve his country. He lays to rest in the military section in a cemetary with visions of flags next to each tomb stone waving in the wind and a little smile appears on my face...
Hard to believe that the Sacramento Kings lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. Kings were leading 99 to 97 and there was just a few seconds left....Lakers score a three pointer, game ends and the Lakers win!!!! Phoeeey. Must say that it was a very good and fast paced game. Series is tied 2 - 2. My heart wants the Kings to win, but reality says "Lakers will go to the Championship." We'll just have to see......
