Correction On Farewell Cake

As mentioned the cake of the day was "The Weekend Cake", it's a two layers CHOCOLATE cake, frosting is cheesecake with vanilla and chocolate chipped on the side as decorations. It's a totally different cake then the one that I mentioned prior. Anyways, it was yummy with vanilla ice cream. =0)

Flowers, Cake and A Tailgate Party

A co-worker from my department is leaving and today is her last day. As tradition, a good bye card was given, flowers, and a lil party with a cake. Today's cake is called "The Dream Cake" and it's from Just Desserts. It is a white cake with a cheese cake filling and a touch of raspberry. Sounds yummie huh? Later on in the day, in honor of the baseball game "Giants vs. A's at PacBell", the firm is holding a tail gate party with hot dogs and other goodies. A group of people purchased some tickets to attend today's game. I won't be attending cause I have made personal plans of my own. =0) I also want to beat the baseball crowd. Go Giants!!!!!

Thank You South Korea!

In World Cup News, team USA lost to Poland 1 - 3. But thanks to South Korea, who won 1 - 0 against Portugal, USA was qualified for the next round. Wheeeew! That was a close one. The next opponent will be Mexico and I hear Mexico is good. Hopefully, we will play a bit better. Well, may the best team win...

World Soccer - Italy vs. Mexico

Ok, I think it is safe for me to post the score on this. My honey was watching the first part of the game, but there wasn't a score. Italy as usual had some bad calls. This poor team, they have no luck with the referees. I went into the net and found out the final score. Score was 1-1, it was a tie! Not sure what this means, but I'm sure someone will explain it to me. There are so many teams playing, it's kind of hard for me to keep up. I am sure by next week, things will be clear.

Fire In Menlo Park

After having a wonderful sleep last night and waking up next to my sweetheart, I was riding the Caltrain on my way to work. Due to the cough medicine that I am taking, my memory tends to be a bit off lately. Not sure if this was the correct location. The train pulls up to Menlo Park and there are a bunch of firetrucks and what was left of a building. I remember going by the place and the stores that were there. It was a bakery/restaurant, a liquor store..I think and something else. The whole place was burned and some of the structure was still standing. All you can see is rubble. It wasn't mentioned anywhere on the net, but there were some news station vans near the area. Maybe it will be mentioned later.

Lakers Are The Champs!!!

Congratulations Los Angeles Lakers!!!! That is pretty much all I can say about this...Yes, I am pretty bummed. Was hoping to have another team take a chance at it, but the better team won. Ho hum......

Game Four Of The NBA Finals!!!!

Okay, as predicted, Lakers will take it. Thing is...I didn't think they would sweep it. Geeesh, can't the Nets at least win one game?? They were leading at some point in the games, but Shaq and company are very strong. They are unstoppable. Need I say more??

HearVivCough

Vivilicious here has been coughing for the past 2 weeks and has finally decided to get some medical help. Thanks to a persistent yet caring boyfriend. =0) Nurse on call suggested that I take Robitussin DM as directed and pop some lozenges in between. So far it's been a day and the cough has been fairly calmed. Not that much congestion in the chest either. Must say, I get very thirsty though.
