Well, they voted out Lori from the Big Brother 3 house. 5 to 4 against Amy. She left with no tantrum, gave everyone hugs and left. Lisa who was head of household lost her title tonight because it was already a week and they had to choose a new person to take over. The competition: Remembering the week's events and where they took place. Each person had props in front of them of each room and they had to guess which room that the event happened. Marcellas won! So, he is the head of household and he gets to nominate 2 people to be evicted. Stay tuned....
Just before I had lunch, my department and two others, joined in to celebrate our manager's birthday. Yesterday, was originally her birthday, so we rushed to have flowers sent to her. She came out and announced that it was her birthday and no one seemed acknowledged this. Actually, we thought it was today and we ordered a cake. She was brought down, the lights were out and we jumped out and yelled "Surprise!!!!" = 0) It was white cake with chocolate mouse filling. Very tasty and my first time having this flavor. Of course there wasn't any cake left.
Tempers flew and of course there was drama. Last we left the roomies, Gerry was given "the power of veto." Gerry is the 50 year old who is married for 20 years and is the father figure of the group. He was consoling Marcellas "he and Lori were the ones nominated to be voted out." Anyway, Gerry vetoed Marcellas's nomination, so Lisa "the head of household" had to choose someone to fill take his place. And she picked Amy. Amy is the "southern belle." The challenge last night was: six items were removed from the house. There were 2 teams of six people, each person had a turn to go in the house and write on the board what item is missing. If the item is wrong, you get a buzz sound and you have to go back in and keep looking. The winners of that challenge gets a luau with music, tropical drinks and lobster! The losers stay in the house and watch the winners enjoy themselves. Tonight, we will see who will get evicted.
Actually two things. I get to be with the Darling One. And the other is....Big Brother 3!!!!!! This show is on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Wonder how long I can keep up with the show or how long it will interest me? Hmmmm "blows her hair away from her eyes" Waiting to hear hunnay's comment on that remark. Hee Hee
Could be because of a certain person at work is getting on my nerves and I would like to strangle said person? Maybe it's the change of weather? Or is it that I didn't have breakfast and lunch was a bit late? I think it's the lunch one and that was taken care of. Now I am starting to fall asleep here. Dare I say it....Viv needs coffee!!!!! =0)
This is the original Sabrina, starring: Audrey Hepburn "Sabrina", William Holden "David" and Humphrey Bogart "Linus". This is a movie classic. There was another version of this about a little over 10 years ago, starring" Harrison Ford "Linus" and Greg Kinear "David". I can't remember the actress playing the role of Sabrina. Storyline is, Sabrina is the daughter of a chauffeur who is employed by the wealthy Larrabees. They have two sons, Linus and David. Linus is the eldest of the two, he is very much the businessman and dedicated to his work. David is the playboy and has been married 3 times. Sabrina has had a crush on David since she was a little girl. Just that David doesn't know she existed, until she returns from a trip in Paris. She left as a plain jane and returns as a sophisticated lady. This catches David's attention as he drives by the train station where she is waiting for her father. David falls for Sabrina, but see David is engaged to woman who's father is dealing business with his father and their engagement is based on that. Linus tries to lure Sabrina away from David, so that David can focus on his upcoming wedding. But suddenly Linus finds himself falling for Sabrina and she starts to feel the same way. It's a cute little love story and I enjoyed this better than the one that was recently made. No matter how many times Hollywood remakes a classic film, the original is always the best one.
Yesterday, tickets went on sale for Bruce Springsteen tickets. Who would have thought that I would see him in concert. The Darling One is a big fan and wanted to go see him. We set the alarm early to get up and stand in line for the box office to open at 10 A.M.. Once we arrived, there were only about 8 people there already in line. There was a lotto whenever there are ten people and there was. We picked our numbers, Darling got number 14 and I got 5. The number drawn was 7. So, he got in line first then numbers 1, 2 and etc. followed. We were lucky. We bought 2 set of pairs, just to increase our chance of good seating. The seats aren't bad, good view of the stage. Can't believe how much they are selling the tickets on line.
Thing is "5" is my lucky number, so I decided to get a lotto ticket later. When I went to buy my ticket, the machine ran out of ribbon, so they had to change and I had to wait. Since we had a great place in line for Springsteen tickets and I picked "5" and then the machine had a malfunction. Maybe just maybe, I coudl win the 16 million. Instead, I got 3 numbers out of 6. That should be at least 5 bucks. Oh, well. It was a very enjoyable Saturday!
I mentioned about Marcellas and Lori being nominated and voted out. Well, it seems that they just got nominated and one will be voted out after a week. Sooner or later I will understand this reality show. There was a show last night and I only was able to see part of it. Thanks to the darling one, he wants somehow brainwash me to stop seeing these reality shows. But no dice, cause there is nothing that good to watch and this is a substitute. Ok, here's last night show...
The house mates are discussing and masterminded who should stay and should go. Main focus here is Marcellas and Lori. There were the one that got nominated, so they are an awkward position. There was a twist to this episode. The veto necklace. Person who gets the necklace can give it to someone who can not be voted out. If the winner of that necklace is one of the nominated persons, that person can give it to the other, but the head of household has to pick another person for replacement. Lori, "the person who was one of the nominated" won the necklace and gave it to Gerry. Gerry is the olderst and very much the father figure of the group. He seems like a cool guy. Next episode is Tuesday.
