Ooops! I forgot to write about last night's epidsode. To make it short, Eric won the veto competition, but decided not to use his veto and to leave the nominations as is. So....it was down to Marcellas and Amy. The evicted one was...Amy! Again Marcellas was saved from being evicted for the second time. Very lucky guy! As I am typing this, I am awaiting the competition for the new head of household. Tonight's competition is to guess who did this or said this. Each contestant has a paddle with the 3 people who were evicted and the current head of household. If you answer wrong you are out. The only person remaining is the winner. Gerry is the NEW HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD!!!
This story is based in Chicago. I only heard about this, during a morning talk show. "Wyld 107" the dog house! The dj's were talking about an incident that happened. Not sure if this is the same story my darling one was telling me about last night. This has to do with 2 men, one I heard, was 60 years old. Not sure who was driving, but I was told that the car went out of control and hit 3 women. It was not mentioned if there was any casualties, but the men were dragged out of the car and witnesses started throwing bricks and rocks at them. Here is the thing, if any of these men ended up dead, those who bashed them should get the death penalty or at least get charged for assault. Again...what is this world coming to?
My My...The stories that I have heard in the news this morning. First off, two teenage girls get kidnapped by a man while they were each in a car with their male friend at a place called "lover's lane." Both of the girls didn't know each other. The suspect held a gun and told one of the couples that he wanted their car. He tied about the young men and drove off with the girls. This happened at 1 a.m. this morning. With the headlines lately referring to children being kidnapped and later found dead or safe. This one had a happy ending. Later this evening the girls were found and safe. The suspect, did not cooperate with the police and was shot to death. The suspect seemed to have been wanted by the law for unrelated rape cases. Glad to hear that the girls were returned home safely. Not sure what this world is coming to, but no one is safe these days.
Monday night was the first time for me to see this commercial. At first, I thought it was corny, but to be honest it makes me "smile." We see a guy and there is rumba/salsa kind of music playing in the background. He's dancing and looking at the camera as if he is dancing in front of a mirror. The dance moves and the music fit in perfectly. It's a cute commercial and I just have to laugh and =0) when I see it.
Coming very close to the big "1 year" after the day my darling one and I met. This is a milestone for me. After countless dates and disappointments, I found my prince charming. Meeting the right person is not the easiest thing to do. It takes time and effort. But I was very lucky to wait and be patient, cause now I have my hunnay, Bill, in my life. "Happy 9th Anniversary!!!!", sweetie.
Well, the head of household "Roddy" had to pick two housemates, who he thinks should be evicted. And the two nominated was....Amy and Marcellas. Amy was chosen because he felt that she thought of only of herself and that she was more important than anyone else. This is TV, it's a game and you are here to do whatever you can to win it?? Duh!!! His reason for choosing Marcellas, was that he knows Amy and Marcellas have become close. And that Marcellas would not vote Amy out. The thing is, if Amy or Marcellas win the veto competition, they can use it to help the other and Roddy has to chose someone else to take the place. The others have a worried look on their face. They have to make sure that Amy or Marcellas do not win the veto medallion, to be able to be safe. Tune in next time..
This is one movie that I didn't hear much about. It's an independent film. The only one name I was familiarized with, was Malcolm McDowell. As I started watching the movie, I recognized a few of the other actors. McDowell plays a mysterious person and as the movie goes on, his name is not mentioned and wasn't even given. He goes by the name of "Gangster 55," this was given at the end, during the credits. In the beginning we see "Gangster 55" at a dinner party watching a boxing match with his colleagues. One of them mentions "Big Freddy." This has McDowell reminiscing back on his association with "Big Freddie" and you hear his voice over as the scene plays on. It's 1967 and we see a young "Gangster 55" in a pool hall. Being played by Paul Bettany "whose last role was in "Beautiful Mind." One of Freddie's men approaches Gangster 55 and escorts him to meet with Freddie. He joins Freddie's gang and we see Gangster 55 and colleagues beat up on "clients." Gangster 55 starts to envy Freddie and what he has. He plots to get rid of Freddie and take over as "the king." Which he succeeds to do. I found this movie reminiscent of "Clock Work Orange." Ironically McDowell was in "Clock Work Orange" and played the lead character Alex. Both films had the lead character doing the voice overs in the film. They both were psychotic and very demented. The camera shots and angles are both done the same way. Out of the two which did I like? I would have to say "Gangster 55." When I first saw "Clock Work Orange," I was about 14 or 15. My brothers rented the movie and I wasn't too crazy about it. The rape scene pretty much bothered me. I guess since I am older, I have a better perspective on the violence thing. This film was very entertaining, just that the ending part didn't make much sense to me.
