Tonights Movie Of Choice Is..."Lord Of The Rings"

Last night my hunny and I went to rent the special edition 4 disc DVD of "Lord Of The Rings." It took us two stores, but we found a copy. Looking for it, was a difficult task. You would think that they would put it in alphabetical order, but at the first store, it was in a different section and three copies were already checked out. Then after having our delicious In and Out burgers, we went to another video store and we still couldn't find the movie. Someone had to help us and there was only one copy available.

Tonights plans, dinner and a movie with friends.

Cal Bears vs Stanford Cardinals

This rivalry has been going on through the years. Yesterday, a woman was supporting her team, wearing the Stanford colors, on my way to work. Last night, Cal had their annual bon fire party. Seems that Stanford doesn't do those events anymore. It will be a very large turnout. The game will be played in Berkeley.

Ever since I was a teenager, I've always thought about going to Stanford. I went their one time and fell in love with the campus. Alas, my family didn't have the money for me to go there. But I currently live around the area. Everyday I pass the Stanford mall and the campus area.

Two words....GO STANFORD!!!!!

The Bachelor Picks A Bride

Millions of people tuned into their television set to watch Aaron "The Bachelor", pick one of the two remaining women. Here's a brief low down on the reality TV show. A bachelor is chosen. This is the second installment of this show. The first one, didn't turn out too well. We found false information from the last bachelor, Alex. He made his choice, but he decided not to propose and just for them to live together. She had moved from the city that she was from and he told her to find her own place. She couldn't afford the cost of living and she returned home. He had to give back the ring and honestly, he just wanted exposure to further his acting career. What a waste of time and this guy was so fake and at times when I did see parts of the show, he seemed to feminine.

The second bachelor was wholesome, out-doors type, shy and well-mannered. He had a good job, knew how to fly a plane and play the piano. He had a charm about him. I found that very appealing. Back to the concept of the show, a bachelor is chosen. Then 25 women are picked to get a chance to win the bachelor's heart. Events go on for about 6 weeks. He meets and greets the available women and begins to chose 15 women. Then it goes down to 10, 6, 4, 3 and then 2. These women poured their hearts out with tears and sadness.

Last night he had to choose between Helene (my personal favorite) and Brooke. Helene is 27 and grade school psychologist and Brooke is 22 and a college student. Both women are attractive. Aaron needs someone who is independent. Brooke seems to dependent and needy. Helene seems like a free spirit and very independent. The chemistry between Aaron and Helene was obvious. Make things short, Aaron dumped Brooke and asked Helene to marry him. She said yes. Then they ride off to the sunset and embark on their future together. The last part I kind of added in there. "wink" Ok, call me a romantic.

Honestly, it has to be real embarrassing for the public to know your personal business. And the humiliation when they don't get chosen. Well, that is entertainment for you!
