Finally! I've Finished Reading The Two Towers

Ok, I know I'm a bit late. But I just finished the book and it's great timing, cause the movie was released a few days ago. Now, I am all set to see the how the movie interprets the book.

It also gives me the opportunity to see the cute and adorable, Orlando Bloom. My best friend and I have this crush on him. In case some of you don't know who he is, he plays Legolas, the elf. My co-worker and boyfriend's sister refer to him as the "pretty boy." Well, he does have that boyish face. They picked the perfect actor to play him. I remember the animated version of Lord Of The Rings and it was the character, Legolas, that got my attention.

Brian Is The Soul Survivor

Brian Heidik wins Survivor Thailand Who would have thought that a former adult actor would be the winner? I saw only a few minutes of the two hour special. It was where they had a tribal counsel and they had the four remain survivors, listening to their comments. The members of counsel were saying comments about Brian and how he manipulated and scheme his way. Brian won immunity, so he had nothing to worry about.

Just two days prior to the airing of the final episode, there was an article regarding Heidik and his wife. Seems that she punched him in the nose and was charged with assault and battery. The judge granted a restraining order and she was fined $1,000 for bail. Then after the announcement of Heidik winning the 1 million on Survivor, Heidik commented that he and his wife were having marital problems and were separated. There is the possibility that his wife may try and get half of that winning.

It's The Weekend Before Christmas

Expect to see long lines, clothes scattered about and lots of people. This morning, I went shopping for myself. I ended up buying a sweater top and tennis shoes. Then I saw some cute gifts and bought them for co workers.

First I went to Sears and just bought 2 gifts and my sweater top. Finally, I used my gift card that I received for my birthday last August. I saw some tennis shoes, but there wasn't a salesperson available to help me and the line in the shoe department was very long. I saw these bangle bracelets, bath set and a bear with lotion as gifts. I didn't wait that long in line. But it took me awhile browsing for things.

Then I went to Walmart, to buy a few things. I was afraid that there would be tons of people and massive long lines. I grabbed what I needed and headed to the lines. It wasn't that bad. There were 2 women in front of me. One of the women was taking forever. She wasn't sure if she had enough money and she made 3 seperate payments for her things. The lady between us was getting frustrated. I paid for my things and headed out the door.

I went to Mervyn's to see if they had my tennis shoes. They had the one I wanted, but it was a bit expensive. Then I saw a pair that were on sale and I liked them. So, I searched for my size, praying that they had it. And they did! I grabbed my size and went to the register. No waiting and I was out the door. It's so great to have the shoes right there, instead of asking a salesperson to help you. Very convenient.

So, my shopping was done and I was on my home to be with my hunnay!

Stormy Weather Is Here

This is the first time, that I felt soooo cold. The gusty wind and rain don't help either. It wasn't rainning in the morning, but the temperature were very chilly. Then the rain started pouring and it got real bad at times.

Lucky me, it didn't rain on my way home. But the it is freezing cold ouside.

He's Baaaaaaaack!

Just when I thought I wouldn't see him on television again.....

I was relaxing with my sweetie at his parent's house, watching the television. Then of of a sudden I heard the music, but with a Christmas sound to it. And who comes into view? It's the JOE BOXER GUY!!

He starts doing his Boxer Boogie, wearing a silver box wrapped in a red bow. That is all he was wearing. This again, started to make me smile as usual. As he was dancing to the music, he started to unwrap the box. Then he appears with these Santa Claus boxers. Which I thought was sort of girly.

It was great to see him again. Dancing, smiling and just acting silly!

Not So Pleasant Flight

On our way back home from the East Coast, our ride was not a smooth one. We came upon some major turbulence. Taking off from Newark, was a bit delayed and we had a fully booked plane.

My sweetheart could not believe that I was able to sleep through the bouncing. Guess I was all exhausted from the trip. We were a bit cramped and this made it sort of hard to eat our meals.

Finally, we landed at SFO. Boarding off the plane, took some time. People were getting their things together and others were just walking too slow. It was raining, but not that heavily. Some sprinkles. We got our luggage, boarded a bus to take us to the car and we were off to our home sweet home!

Great Time In The East Coast

Well folks, we are back from our trip in the East Coast. We visited my sweetheart's family. His parents live in a town called Monroe in New Jersey. On our arrival, there was snow from the previous day. It was temperature was a bit chilly and it made my teeth chatter. That is how cold it was!

Our flight there was smooth and no problems. His parents live in a very nice place. Their house was very cozy and beautiful. There was snow in front of the houses and in the lakes. I have never seen that much snow. Well, only when I was young and my parents went to Reno. Then the one time in Lake Tahoe. But this is the first time for me to see it along the lakes. Too bad it wasn't snowing at the time, I have never experienced that. It felt like a winter wonderland, seeing all that snow.

The first few days of our arrival, we spent it with his parents. Getting to know each other and catching up on things. His parents are great! Now I see where Bill gets his good looks and personality from. He gets his kind and warm heart from both his parents. His smile is from his dad and the eyes are of his mom.

We took a train ride to his sister's place in New York. As planned, I got to see Rockefeller Center. It was just as I imagined! People walking around and the huge tree in the middle of the center. There were ice skates in the rink. A very nice lady even took a picture of us. That was sweet of her. We browsed through the NBC shop store. There they had t-shirts, mugs and stuff for some of the popular NBC shows. We didn't purchase anything there.

Then we were off to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This place is HUGE!! We didn't see everything, but they had some interesting exhibits. Saw painting of Monet and other artists. Sorry, my mind is a blank on this. There were sculptures, jewelry, artifacts from different centuries. Also, there was a crowd of people. We ended up with just buying postcards for ourselves and friends. Later that day we met up with my best friend and her hubby. We had sushi and a movie. Saw the movie "Star Trek Nemesis". This was the first time for me to see a Star Trek movie in the theatre. I was hoping for it to be crowded, since it was the first night of showing. But it wasn't.

Later night and through the morning, we talked with his sister. She has a very nice apartment and she's real cool. She has a great sense of humor. Then the next day we were off to his parents. We had dinner at this restaurant near his parent's place, called "Fresco." The food was delicious. Very tasty!

Then on a sad note, it was time for us to go. We had a wonderful time and stay. Thank you to Bill's parents and his sister for their hospitality. We look forward to seeing and spending time with them again.
