I didn't get a chance to see the 25 guys, hoping to win her heart. I was only able to see the last fifteen minutes, where she made her choices for the final 15. The tension was building and Trista comes out. She takes a deep breath and tells them, that is was a very hard decision for her to make and that she had a wonderful time meeting them. One by one, she called out the names of the men and presented them with a boutonniere. She asks each one of them, will you accept and they have the choice to accept or decline. Most of them accepted. The ones that weren't chosen, has disappointed looks on their face. After she gave the last flower, she started to tear up and cry. She felt bad that she had to make someone feel sad.
She's a very attractive lady, with a kind and down to earth attitude about her. I can't believe someone like her can't find the right guy, but it does happen. Hopefully, I will try and see if I can keep up with the episodes and if not, there is always the internet, to keep me updated.
Last night was the first show. We are introduced to Evan Marriott, he is your average "Joe." He works in construction, very quiet guy, rugged looking and he likes eating fast food. Most importantly, he makes $19,0000 for a living. He likes getting his hands dirty, relaxing at home and drink a beer. His social life hasn't been going well. Most of the women he has dated, were only interested in a man's wallet. He wants to meet a woman who doesn't need the superficial things and just wants to be loved for himself.
He flies to Paris and they transform Evan, from a construction worker, to a gentleman. He took etiquette lessons, ballroom dancing and horseback riding lessons. He got a shave and they trimmed his hair, but it has that tousled hair look. This reminds me of the movie, "My Fair Lady."
Now the 20 women arrive. They are brought to the castle in horse drawn carriages, in pairs of two. As the women are approaching the castle, most of the comments were; "oh my god, it's like a fairytale, I feel like Cinderella, this guy can be my prince charming, I need a man who can take care of me and is the breadwinner in the relationship. Those are words of gold diggers. Once the women are settled in, the host of the show comes out in the garden. She tells them that Evan, inherited 50 million dollars. They didn't know the amount of the money until that moment. The camera scans to their faces, and you can see the excitement on their faces. There was going to be a ball that night. The ladies had to pick their gowns, but there weren't any good ones to choose from. It was first come, first serve. Heidi, seems like the conniving one in the group. She went in the room and grabbed 3 gowns at once and she picked the one that she wanted. This was is very feisty, she will go after something and gets what she wants. Some of the women had good choices of gowns and others got gowns that didn't even fit. Poor Zora, she got a gown that didn't even fit, so one of the girls felt sorry and she switched with her.
The women, got to meet Evan, briefly. He rides up on his horse. This is done without a hitch, but as he tries to mount the horse, his foot slips. The girls notice this, but don't say anything.
Off to the ball! Evan got to meet and greet the women. They asked a few questions. Heidi was working her charm and flirting. Then it was time to pick 12 women, to remain at the chateau. Each woman that he picks, gets a pearl necklace. The necklace gets upgraded, whenever he has to make his choice. Here is who he picked; Allison, Amanda, Brandy, Dana, Dayanna, Heidi, Katie, Mandy, Melissa Jo (aka Mojo), Melissa M., Sarah and Zora. These are the ones, that I hope he picks; Brandy, Melissa Jo (aka Mojo), Melissa M. and Zora, so far. They were checking to make sure that the pearls were genuine. This was funny to watch. One woman was almost choked.
Evan is feeling guilty. He doesn't feel comfortable in what he is doing to the women. Then why be in the show? He wants publicity and what guy would turn down the chance to meet 20 women?
It will be very interesting to see who he chooses in the final episode and to see her reaction, when her Prince Charming is really a toad. Stay tuned...
NINERS!!!! I can not believe that the Giants were leading 28 to 14, at the half. But don't count the Niners out! They came back and were very much threatening. Giants were leading 38 - 14 with 4 minutes left in the third quarter. Niners ended up scoring 25 unanswered points, to win the game, with the final score Niners 39 and the Giants 38. Tempers were erupting among the players, with no help from Terrell Owens. This guy has to needs to contain his exuberance and watch out for his conduct, something like this, can cost the team the game. They were down, but they never gave up.
New York Jets played against the Indiannapolis Colts in the AFC Wild Card Playoffs. The Jets demolished the Colts. Final score was Jets 41 Colts "0".
Then in the NFC Wild Card Playoffs. We have the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons. I didn't see much of the game. But I could hear my sweetie, laughing, cause the Green Bay couldn't do anything and things weren't going there way. Packers had something like 5 turnovers. Final score: Atlanta 27, Packers 7.
Today's game: Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers. Steelers beat the Browns, 36 to 33. Niners vs. Giants will be at 1 p.m. (pacific time).
Besides, "Joe Millionaire" (that I mentioned last year), here are some others:
Joe Millionaire Women court a man they this is a millionaire. He isn't. 9 p.m. Monday. He's a blue color worker, who makes 19 grand a year. The premise of the show is, he inherits 50 million. A group of women are going to try and impress him. At the end he will reveal the truth and the lady he chose, will have to decide on true love or money.
High School Reunion Former classmates get together after 10 years. 9 p.m. Sunday. Carefully selected 1992 graduates from a Chicago High School get to relive their classroom days. This show, I may not be able to see, cause it is the same time as "Alias."
Star Search This is a new, nastier version of the talent show. 8 p.m. Wednesday. I have no idea what they mean by nastier version? Will the contestants sleep with the judges? Is there going to be some backstabbing between the contestants?
The Bachelorette Female version of "The Bachelor." 9 p.m. Wednesday. I'm not quite sure about this show. When a guy doesn't get a rose, will he start crying? Women are better to watch, when they get emotional and start crying. Not sure if it will be the same, when a guy gets dump. The men that she has to choose from. aren't bad looking. I might see the first episode and see if it's worth looking at.
Celebrity Mole: Hawaii Celebrity version of the that rewards deviousness. 10 p.m. Wednesday. I have seen a few episodes of "The Mole." It is a very interesting show. People are paired off in groups. They have assignments that they must pass. Then at the end of the show, someone is voted out. This show is a bit late for me, so there is a possibility that I won't see it.
The Surreal Life Has-been celebrities do "Real World" 9 p.m. Thursday I am not that much of a fan of "Real World." So, I doubt that I would even watch this show.
American Idol The search for a new Kelly Clarkson begins. 8 p.m. Jan 21 Tuesday. I enjoyed the first one, I'm looking forward to see how this one does.
