Joe Millionare Update...And Now There Are 5!

Well, last night's episode was interesting. Evan took a group of 4 women for an outing. I missed the first 15 minutes, the American Music Awards was on.

I didn't see where he took the first group. But I did see the 2nd and 3rd group. The 2nd group, they went on a train ride. Just to see how the women's true personality. He made them pitch some coal into the train engine. He told them, in order for them to go on their merry way, they need to pitch in and make the train get going. Each woman took a shovel with coal. In this group was Katie, Mojo, Mandy and Amanda. They didn't look too thrilled about this, but I guess if this will impress him, they gave their best effort. Mojo was stealing most of Evan's attention and kept talking freely about herself. They were sitting, sipping wine and enjoying the ride.

3rd group..they went horseback riding. In this group, it was, Zora, Heidi, Dayana and Alison. Heidi was making a big thing about her horse, being sensitive and not really like her. So, she bailed out of the group and walked her horse back. She was crying and Evan was very polite and well mannered about the whole thing. Zora enjoyed cleaning the stable and pitching the hay. She never complained. Dayana was wearing these 3 inch spiked boots, when she was riding. Why she wore this, I guess to look attractive and to impress Evan. She didn't seem to have any problems riding. Alison, was pretty much in control of her horse and was leading the pack on the trail. She seemed pretty confident and Evan found this very interesting.

There was a lot of talking behind each other's back...His five choices were, Zora, Melissa, Mojo, Allison and Sarah! They were presented with sapphire necklaces. Heidi was shocked that she wasn't chosen. Serves her right...she has a boyfriend. That was her little secret. Not sure if she still has a boyfriend, when he finds out about her and she ended up not being the 5 finalists. Just like the rest of the women, she packs her things and goes home.

The others were steaming with jealousy, when they heard that the five, that were picked, are flying to Paris with Evan.

Football Season Is Over For San Francisco Fans

It was a sad moment, but the Niners could not come back. Tampa Bay won, final score 31 - 6. The Niners struggled, but couldn't do much.

Good news, the Raiders won! Final score, Raiders 30, Jets 10. They advance to the AFC Division game against the Tennessee Titans. The Buccaneers play the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC Division game.

"Joe Millionaire" Past

Ok, so what if he posed in a swimsuit magazine, wearing less than nothing. There is an article in Newsweek, regarding Evan Marriott. He talks about his sudden stardom, his career in construction, those pictures and the show.

I scanned through the article. This guy talks too much like a southern Californian or surfer, using the word "dude." There were comments about his appearance on Regis and Kelly, this I heard on a radio station, after the first episode of "Joe Millionaire," was aired. The woman who called the radio station, said that he was not very bright and seemed kind of dumb.

Check out the article, "Getting To Know Joe...".

Bee Gees, Maurice Gibb Dies

Member of the popular group in the disco era, collapsed in his Miami home, after suffering intense stomach pain and was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery for a blocked intestine.

The Bee Gees twins Maurice and Robin, and their older brother Barry have lived in South Florida since the late 1970s. Their younger brother, Andy, who had a successful solo career, died in 1988 at age 30. Gibb played bass and keyboard for the group, whose name is short for the Brothers Gibb. Known for their close harmonies and original sound, the Bee Gees are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and their 1977 contributions to the Saturday Night Fever. album made it the best selling movie soundtrack ever with more than 40 million copies sold.

Chris Hutchins, a writer and former press agent for the Bee Gees, said Maurice was very much a tormented soul. He was not the star (of the Bee Gees), and he knew it, he felt it, Hutchins told British Broadcasting Corp. radio.

Gibbs first wife was British singer Lulu. He and his second wife, Yvonne, were married for more than 20 years and had two children. He was 53.
