Is This True Or Not?

Could he be rich after all? Joe Millionaire, really a millionaire? Rumors are flying that Evan Marriott is indeed in fact, a millionaire. I wondered why, he didn't use his last name and instead he chose his mom's maiden name, which is Wallace.

First off....he makes the women, believe that he inherited all this money. He takes lessons in, dancing, horseback riding and etiquette. The fact remains, he wasn't brought up in those surrounding during his life. Or has he? They pick a regular guy, turn him into a "My Fair Lady" and try to pass him off has a prince.

You can take the man from the city but you can't take the city life out of the man. Does that make sense? Oh, you know what I mean.

American Idol Returns

Lines of people, standing in line, hoping to be discovered. Simon, Paul and Randy are back. Simon was his old self, with the wicked tongue and bad attitude. The public loves this.

Those who tried out, were as Simon puts it, "gawd awful" or "the worst singer, he's ever heard." Most of them, seem to be there for exposure or just want to be silly on television. One guy, made a slit on the side of his pants, to show fashion and his singing was awful. Another guy, sang the national anthem, and forgot the words and added some words to it. All I can say is, they had guts and they felt the wrath of Simon!

There were a few of them, who belted out a tune and gave it all they got. So, in the coming week or so, they will pick the finalists. We shall see....

Joe Millionaire Update

Sorry, it's been 3 days since my last entry. I didn't see all of this episode and I only caught his last date, who was Alison. They went out for dinner, at this fancy french restaurant. Evan wasn't impressed with the food and he didn't eat what he wasn't familiarized with. Guess he would rather prefer McDonald's. He could tell that his date with Alison, wasn't going well. She enjoyed the meal. He wanted to get to know her, but she really didn't open up. He would try and have a conversation and she would have this look of not being interested. Evan asked her point blank, if they have a future together and she point blank says, "No."

His other dates, didn't seem to go well. Judging from the recaps on the net.

He took Melissa Jo aka Mojo, to Moulin Rouge. Evan brings Mojo a slew of dresses for her to try on. She ends up picking a dress that shes falling out of. Evan has no problem with that and they make their way out on the town. At dinner, Evan felt that he couldnt really get a good conversation going while Mojo felt they connected on every level. After dinner, Evan takes Mojo to Moulin Rouge and they get the star treatment all the way. They dont have to wait in line, paparazzi are taking their picture and they get to sit right in front. They both comment on what a great date it was, but Evan wanted to throw away her hat.

On his second date, Evan takes out Melissa. While in the car, Melissa tells Evan that hes a good secret keeper and that she loves surprises. Evan bites his tongue. He ends up taking her to the Eiffel Tower and because of the rain, they have the whole Tower all to themselves. Melissa is ecstatic and remarks how much chemistry she and Evan have. Evan thinks Melissa really likes him and Melissa feels the same way. Back at the hotel, Evan presents Melissa with a self-portrait of her that he commissioned a street artist to paint. Melissa is stunned and tells him how much she loves it. Back in her room however, she and the other girls make fun of the painting and Melissa thinks it doesnt look anything like her (all unbeknownst to Evan).

Evans next date is with Sarah. He thinks she needs to lighten up a bit, so he decides to take her to Tango lessons. Paul thinks Sarah is a little too self-absorbed for Evan and too high maintenance. He assumes Evan wouldnt be interested in her. At the lessons, Evan presents Sarah with shoes and clothes fitting a Tango dancer. Sarah is thrilled. The date goes exceptionally well and when Evan brings her back to the hotel, he kisses her goodnight.

On his next date, Evan takes Zora out to a quiet bistro. He notices that shes very uptight and is having problems opening up in the slightest. The date continues this way throughout with Evan continuing to prod, trying to get to know Zora better. She simply doesnt open up at all, even when Evan takes her to an orchestra playing at the banks of the Seine. One highlight of Evans date with Zora was when he slipped by saying he was running a bulldozer three weeks ago. Zora, too focused on the date didnt seem to catch on as Evan covers the slip by saying he meant two years ago.

Judging from the dates, it seems like the women are being a bit uptight and need to loosen up a bit. They should enjoy the sites, luxury, beautiful jewelery and the company.

He picks four women to remain and Alison was the one, that got the walking papers. Evan was surprised to see how upset she was, when she didn't get chosen.

Golden Globe Awards

The awards was last night. Everyone from film, music and television were there. Most importantly, fashion was a key here tonight. It's what you wear, what was said or done during the ceremony that the media will be buzzing about.

The men have it easy, when it comes to dressing for these ceremonies. Sharp, simple suit or tuxedo, is all they need. For the women, it's the hair, makeup, dress which designer, they used and shoes.

My choice for best dressed, Sarah Jessica Parker, she wore a black halter pant suit and I loved the slicked back hair, with the long ponytail, Calista Flockart, wore a halter, light green or brownish dress with flower patterns on it, Kim Cattrell, wore red dress with a scarf and Jennifer Connelly wore, all black, but her eye makeup made her look like a raccoon.

The worst dressed, Lara Flynn Boyle, she was wearing a tutu skirt, the top was ok and her hair was great, tied up in a ponytail. But the skirt and the shoes, she looked like she was in a ballet. Sharon Stone, looked like an outdated rocker or punk rocker. Nicole Kidman, wore a light blue dress, it looked nice on the top part, but as you look at the rest of the dress, it looked like someone ripped the front off and she didn't look comfortable at one point, when she went to accept her award.

I missed the first part of the show, but I just read this morning, that Jennifer Aniston won for best actress in a comedy, for "Friends." Tony Shalhoub, won for best actor in a comedy for "Monk." My two favorite shows.

For more results of the big winners, in the Golden Globe Awards.

Raiders Vs. Tampa Bay In Da Superbowl!!!

Well, it's official. A bay area team is going to the Superbowl. This is going to be a very interesting match up. Raiders will be going up against their former coach, Jon Gruden. The media will focus on this issue, during the week.

Honestly, I'm not sure, who I want to win. I'm not much of a Raider fan, but they are a bay area team, so most likely I will root for them. Plus, they have some former Niners, playing on the team.

Go Raiders!!!!

Bachelorette Update

Well, it was down to 15 guys. Trista took a 3 groups, each with 5 guys for an outting.

First group, they flew to Vegas. Russell "Russ", the one that gave Trista a "pick me and I will pamper you with jewelry" a Tiffany chain bracelet. It was obvious, that there was an attraction, between the two. He was all over her and she couldn't resist flirting back. The other guys were a bit miffed, that Russ took Trista away, for a quiet moment. They tracked them down and interrupted their moment. Rob takes Trista aside and has a moment with her. He tells her, that he isn't a smooth talker like Russ and that he doesn't feel comfortable with others around. She understands this and gives him a kiss.

Next day, it's the second group. They are off to a spa. Trista pulls Ryan aside, to spend some time with him. Ryan seems very shy and quiet and they started talking about the future. Trista said she would like to some day, get married and settle down. As they were making their way back to the others, we passed by and saw 3 couples who were getting married, at the hotel that they were staying at. They were both laughing and felt like it was deja vu.
Trista goes for a massage and only one of the guys can come join her. The guys play the game, "paper, rock, scissors" and Jaimie won! They both get a massage and have a conversation. He was very careful, not to get to overwhelmed with her, when they were showering down. He was pretty much a gentleman.
Bob was the funny one in the group, commenting that he is not as hard bodied or body toned like the others. He has a great, down to earth personality about him. He may not have the model looks or body, but he seemed like your regular, "joe."

The third group. They got to see a San Diego Chargers game and even meet some of the players after the game. On the way to the game, their camper trailer, got a flat. Jeff, came to the rescue and changed the tire. He took off his shirt and all!
Trista gets close to Greg during the game. Then she takes Charlie aside and tells him that she will give him a rose and he feels very happy about this.

So, the rose ceremony begins. Brian H., steps forward steps forward and removes himself from the show, as he feels it would be an injustice to himself, Trista and the other bachelors to stay. Trista offers roses to Charlie, Bob, Greg T., Ryan, Michael, Rob, Jamie, and Russell.
