This is a "reality" show, where they have 5 contestants. 3 women and 2 men. On the first week, they had 3 women and 3 men, vying to be the one, that America will chose for the contestants to marry.
First they had to go through interrogation with the contestants family member and close friends. The family members and close friends eliminated one man or woman from the group of 3.
America, calls in and votes who they, out of the two remaining, is a perfect match for the 5 contestants. The contestants have no idea who they future bride or groom, looks like.
Last night, America voted. Some of it looked sort of planned and there were some cute moments between the couples. Before they got to meet each other, face to face. There was this white sheet, between them. And there was a hole, so that the woman can put her hand through it. The guy, kneels down and proposes marriage. Once she says, yes, the white sheet is gets lifted by this cable and they see each other for the very first time. A few of them hugged, some kissed and others just stood there and seemed a bit nervous.
There was a little twist on the show. One of the Denises, had a little secret. America voted for the brunette Denise. The host of the show, said that the audience weren't too thrilled to hear that the blonde, Denise, posed for Playboy. But there was something else that no one knew, she was married. Rule is, that all contestants on the show, can not be divorce, separated or been married at all. Well....she was married and is still married! She had no comment on this, when she was on stage and she was getting ready to cry, when this was revealed. Backstage, she tried to explain, that she married a boy at a very young age. They were young and were in Vegas. To her, the marriage wasn't a happy one, there was no white picket fence and she feels that she wasn't married. Other people say, she was. She tried to get away with it and she got caught.
The five couples will spend 5 weeks at a ranch. They will be living together and getting used to the idea of being engaged. The least compatible couple, will be eliminated. The last remaining two couples, will vy for the ideal wedding, a car and $100, 000 towards a new home.
If there isn't anything interesting on television, I might watch this, to amuse myself.
This I found, at a bookstore. It's a deck of cards, that have an inspirational image and simple guided exercise on each card. This is suppose to help you relax both mind and body, and appreciate the simple pleasures all around you.
Due to the stress of the wedding and changing the location of my job, I've been under alot of pressure. My darling, Bill, has been very supportive and understanding through the whole thing. He's been helping with the wedding plans and trying his best to ease the stress off me.
Hopefully, the deck of cards and the exercises will be helpful.
Well, I did some shopping for my wedding day. I bought a few things for myself. Something "blue" for my wedding attire. I got a few things for my matron of honor. Cute little thoughtful things, that I am sure she will love.
I had the day-off, because I had a doctor's appointment and dentist appointment. Doctor's appointment didn't go too well and my dentist appointment went well. So, my day came out even.
After my appointments, I took a stroll over to the Stanford Mall. The weather was beautiful and warm. There weren't that many people at the mall. I guess, cause it was a weekday and it was around 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Most of the people were sitting at tables, having coffee or lunch.
The only thing I need to take care of, is my veil and a photographer for the wedding. Then everything is pretty much taken care of.
