I'm not much of a fan of folk music. But this movie is a parody about it. It's a mockumentary that captures the reunion of 1960s folk trio the Folksmen (Guest, McKean, Shearer) as they prepare for a show at The Town Hall to memorialize a recently deceased concert promoter.
This movie, is based on the reunion of 3 bands from that era. The Folksmen, The New Main Street Singers and the very popular duo, Mitch and Mickey. Group members, managers and those who were part of the folk music scene, reminisce about the old days.
I found it a bit corny. There were a few funny moments and some laughs. It was very entertaining.
It's almost here and now it's starting to occur to me. I'M ACTUALLY GETTING MARRIED!!!
We did last minute details for the wedding with our caterer. The cake has been picked. It's a tuxedo style, which means, two layer (it's white/yellow cake with chocolate), with white frosting and decorated with pink roses. Discussed the table seating and menu.
This week, will be a stressing one. I need to wrap of things at work. My co-workers are giving me a bridal shower lunch on Wednesday. I'm taking Friday off and of course a week for our honeymoon.
Guess who was born on this day? He's some one very special and means the world to me. Supports me in everything, that I do and comforts me when I am sad. A true friend and great listener to others. He knows how to make me smile and brings in the sunshine on a rainny day. Has the tendacy to tickle me, even he knows how ticklish I can be.
He is the man, that I will marry and spend the rest of my life with.
Birthday Wishes to my darling, "chubb chubbs"!! And I look forward to celebrating many more birthdays to come...
