Call it irony, but the last show of the season, was about Raymond's brother's wedding. It back memories of my wedding, which occurred 2 days prior. It was funny, sentimental and entertaining.
There were some memorable moments from the show; the interruption from their mother, during the ceremony and the toast that Raymond, thought of at last minute and at that precise moment. Last but not least, Rob and Amy's first dance as husband and wife. You would think that the song would be something romantic and slow. But to my surprise, it was a dance version of Elvis song, "Little Less Conversation." They were dancing up a storm and it was very cute.
This was the first time for the both, to visit the beautiful island of Kauai. There were dark clouds looming in the skies and scattered showers, during our week week stay over there. We lounged out at poolside. Bill got sunburned and I just got a golden brown tan. The water was a bit cool in the pool, so we decided to go to the Jacuzzi.
We visited most of the areas on the island. One day, we drove up to the Southeast and parts of the West Shore. Saw sites and went to places such as; Lihu'e, went to Waimea Canyon (very long, high elevation and curvy road), Princeville, Spouting Horn, just to name a few. There were more places, but too many to mention.
We went to our first luau. It was a lot of fun. Met some people from Kansas, at our table. The food was delicious. Too bad we didn't get a chance to eat some poi (I think that is how you spell it?). The show was entertaining. Only down fall from this, was that I ended up getting bitten by some insect. I kept itching and ended up with 3 sore swollen bites on my leg.
I was told to get a mai tai once I got to Hawaii. So, my honey, got one for me. I was disappointed. It wasn't much to rave about. I'm not much of an alcohol drinker and when I stared drinking it, it hit me pretty fast. My vision wasn't that clear and I was a bit tipsy. I prefer to stick with my Midori Sours and Margaritas. I really don't have a taste for rum.
It's a beautiful place to relax, but maybe on our next visit to Hawaii. We may go to the other islands, like Oahu or Maui.
Well, actually, we have been back since May 19. We finally did it and got married!
The wedding was just perfect. Beautiful blue skies and warm temperature. Everyone was there, only 2 couples, ironically coming from Santa Cruz, were late. But it turned out perfectly. My husband, looked very handsome in his suit. All the stress and worries were gone.
Great food, delicious wedding cake, close friends and family. Most of all...being married to a wonderful, caring and loving man. My sweetheart, Bill. What more can a woman ask for??
