Ok, this is the latest reality show, which will premiere this week on Monday night. The premise is the basic theme, a man gets to chose out of 20 women, his true love. The catch? The lady that he chooses, will get 1 million dollars. This is something, that the bachelor is not aware of. Will the lady chose love or will she chose the money?
We shall find out, in the coming weeks. Since all the other shows are on break, until the fall season. Slews of reality shows, old and new, will be the only things to watch on the tube. Not sure if I want to see this. Most likely, I may watch a few episodes and if it doesn't catch my fancy, I won't pay much attention to it.
The thought never came to mind, but then again, I've never heard or read anything about him being involved with a female. He seemed to have kept it well hidden. It was revealed to today and very openly in an recent interview, about his homosexuality and is currently involved with someone, named Martin.
I know it can be helpful and everyone should know how to handle things, if an emergency may occur. Not only the safety rules at work but also at home. A qualified medical professional gave a class on this. Hard to believe, but the class was 5 hours long!
We had hands on training during our class. Their were groups of threes and two's. We learned how to resuscitate a person, perform first aid on cuts or bleeding and CPR. Some of it is common sense, but you want to be able to do the correct and safe way to do this, without harming the injured or yourself. Most importantly, stay calm and focused. Once you have established that, then the one injured will be in good hands.
I found the class very informative and everyone participated in all the exercises. Our instructor even observed us, as we were doing the exercises and gave some helpful hints, as we were performing them.
At the end of the class, we each got a certified card, that verifies that we are medically trained.
On my way home, yesterday evening. As I was walking home, I started to hear a crackling sound above me. Then I heard the sound of a branch, suddenly break. A branch falls in front of me and misses me by a second and an inch. Luckily, when I hear the crackling sound, I automatically stopped. If I had on my headphones, I may not have heard the sound and wouldn't be aware of what my happen.
I'm pretty lucky, but a bit spooked of what may have happened if that branch may have fell on me. Today, I was very cautious and aware of my surroundings. It was a close call, but all is well.
I didn't get the chance to see the show's finale, cause I was away on my honeymoon. So, last night it was shown again. All two hours of it!
The show evolves around 4 main characters. Their ups and downs. Jen, the trouble and wild teen. Pacey, an abusive father and dysfunctional family. Dawson, the main character, his dreams of becoming a great director. Joey, miss goody two shoes. Dawson, Pacey and Joey have known each other since childhood. They grew up in a town called Capeside. We've seen them grow up during the six year run of the show. From losing their virginity, relationships, loss of a loved one, drugs and homosexuality. Pacey gets Joey and then loses Joey. Graduating from high school and going their separate ways to college. This is where the show, started to lose the audience and ratings started to falter. The last episode that I remember seeing before the finale, was when Dawson and Joey finally slept together. But this was short lived, Joey later found out that Dawson had a girlfriend in Los Angeles and there were off and on again.
The finale dealt with a wedding, tragedy and a very important decision. Who will Joey finally choose? Pacey or Dawson???
Five years have past...every is together for a wedding. It isn't known yet, who is getting married. But it's Dawson's mom, who is getting married. Dawson's father died, while driving, he dropped his ice cream in the car and ran into a tree. Jen has a baby girl. Jack (he was later introduced to the series as Joey's boyfriend, later he realized he like boys better) is a teacher at their old high school. Pacey now owns a restaurant and is seeing a married woman. They break up after her husband and his friends, beat him up. Dawson has a television series called "The Creek." Ironic title and it imitates life. His show is suppose to have the season finale and he can't think of the perfect ending.
It is revealed that Jen has a heart murmur and doesn't have much time to live. Jack's boyfriend is Pacey's sheriff brother and is paranoid about revealing his homosexuality in public.
Make things brief...Jen dies. Jack gets custody of Jen's daughter, he's the godfather. Dawson goes back to Los Angeles and finally has an ending for his show. Dawson doesn't get the girl, but in his show, the characters end up together. Pacey gets Joey.
Joey and Pacey belong together, cause it's like what Jen said. Choese the one that understands you and loves you for who you are and most of all, who will make you smile and feel happy inside. Pacey and Joey had that connection. She felt comfortable with him. With Dawson, things were complicated and up in the air. Joey wasn't sure of a lot of things, when she was with him. But then there is a connection between Dawson. A very close and strong bond.
Farewell to "Capeside." Bye bye to Jen, Pacey, Jack, Joey and last but not least Dawson.
It's a Monday, a holiday. Most businesses are closed, except fo some stores and of course the movie theaters. The weather is cool, but a bit warm. Expected temps, will be in the 70's. Nice day to have a picnic or barbeque.
For me, it's a day for housework and relaxing. I was just getting over my cold, but it seems to be returning. It could be allergies, oh well. =0(
