This is the first, that I have heard of them. It seems, that swarms of Mormon crickets are marching across the West, destroying rangeland and crops, slickening highways with their carcasses and leaving disgusted residents in their wake. Judging from the pictures with the article, it looks disgusting. These are huge crickets.
Just the thought of them, sends goose bumps down my arms and chills through my body.
Well, last night, my niece graduated from UC Santa Cruz. Time sure does fly by, just four years ago, she graduated from high school. Where have the years gone? Unfortunately, we weren't able to attend the ceremony. We had other plans, but today, she will be having her grad party.
It's going to be Thai food! The place is in Santa Cruz. Judging from the weather, it seems that it will be nice. Not too hot, but maybe warm and there's a little breeze. I plan to take some pictures and hopefully they will turn out nicely.
My hubby and I, were invited to celebrate a very good friend of ours, birthday. Her family (includes her mom, stepdad, sister, brother and guest), her fiance, stepdaughters and her fiance's parents. It was a group of 13 and ironically we celebrated the occasion on "Friday the 13th."
We went to a restaurant call "Buca Di Deppo", it's located in Palo Alto, California. Very nice italian restaurant, they serve family style portions of food. Only down fall to this, is the parking. Parking is hard to find and especially on a Friday night.
I had a wonderful time. Cake and coffee was going to be served at the birthday girl's house, but my hubby and I were getting tired and we have another party to attend the next.
