S.W.A.T.

Well, I got to see this movie, when it first opened up in theaters.

They kept 4 characters in the movie, from the television series. Hondo, played by Samuel L. Jackson, Jim "Street", played by Colin Farrell, Deke, played by L.L. Cool J and T.J. played by Josh Charles. They added 2 more characters, Chris Sanchez, played my Michelle Rodriguez and Michael Boxer played by Brian Van Holt.

An arrested drug kingpin is transported by a Los Angeles Police Department SWAT team led by Jackson's character out of the city and into federal custody. Plans go awry when the kingpin offers $100 million to anyone who can free him.

It was well scripted, like the television series. There was a hostage situation. Someone makes a wrong call and they get suspended. There's a tough as nails chief. Alot of action and explosions.

Only one thing, that I was not thrilled about. My favorite character from the original, was a disappoint to me, in the movie version. "boooo, hiss, booo"

Talk About Going Hollywood

Ahnud, I mean Arnold Schwarzenneger announced his candidacy for governor of California. There have been speculations and now it's true.

Now, I hear that Gary Coleman aka Arnold from "Different Strokes", plunked down $3,500 in Alameda County and declared himself a candidate for governor of California.

Neither of these candidates, have any experience with the government. If Ronald Reagan, Sonny Bono, Jesse "the body" Ventura and Fred Grandy can do it. Then I guess they will that they have a chance at it too.

Popular Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein ruled out a run, saying the election was becoming "more and more like a carnival every day."

Speaking Of Television Shows Being Made Into A Feature Movie

S.W.A.T. will be opening up in the theatres this Friday, August 8. I remember watching this show, when it first came out. The theme song was pretty catchy.

Of course the movie premise is a bit different than the television show. Basically, S.W.A.T. (special weapons and tactics) is only needed, whenever there is a hostage situation. From what I see in the trailers on the movie, it's based on a criminal, who offers a large amount of money, to get him out of jail. There will be a lot of explosions.

I'm thinking of checking out the film. I'm a fan of television show, S.W.AT. and so was my sister. My favorite character was J.T., he was the sharp shooter and my sister's favorite was Luca.

The Latest Television Show To Made Into A Feature Movie

Drum roll please....."The Dukes Of Hazard" The cast includes, Aston Kutcher as Luke Duke, Paul Walker as Bo Duke and Britney Spears as Daisy Duke. Yes, Ms Spears will squeeze into those trademark denim shorts when she plays Daisy Duke, which was originally played by Catherine Bach.

I haven't really seen any of the episodes of the show and if I did, mostly likely, it was because there wasn't anything good to watch at the time. Or sometimes, my mother would watch it and I would watch it for a bit and then walk away.

We'll see if it will be a hit or a miss.
