It's Veteran's Day

It's very odd, to see a parade during the weekdays. Well, San Jose had their annual Veteran's Day Parade in downtown San Jose. This was my first time to see this. Usually, San Francisco has their parade on a Sunday.

There were veterans and the military, marching down the streets. All were in their uniforms. There were flags waving in the air and marching bands. They even had a guy dressed up like George Washington.

The weather was nice, but there weren't too many bystanders watching, just a small crowd.

What Is A Parent to Do?

Kids these days, take advantage of their parent(s). If you are going to live under their roof, you should help out. Whether it's house cleaning chores or finances. Be glad that you have someone who cares and doesn't kick you out in the street.

I grew up under those rules and abided by it. When it was time, I left home in my mid 20's and moved out. My brother and I found an apartment, not to far from our parents. We visited as much as we could. Then during their last days of their lives, we were there to take care of them.

I know some people, with kids. It's not easy, dealing with little kids, teenagers and adults. I hear their stories of dealing with their laziness and troublesome life. This one person, I know, has 3 boys. Age range 13 to 22, living at home. Both the 18 year old and 22 year old, had their licenses suspended. One neglected a ticket and is now appearing in court. They don't even lend a hand to help with the 13 year old, who is going through some issues.

But if the parent doesn't put his or her foot down, their kids will walk all over them.

Uggggh Britney Spears

I know her new album will be released next week. Lately, there have been countless interviews, specials and appearance on television talk shows, to promote this. But she keeps singing her title song "The Zone", during live performances. Some of the words are in my head. Now....that's scary!

Yesterday, I saw the "All Eyes On Britney," interview on MTV. It was conducted fairly well. She spoke about her career, the movie she made, her break-up with Justin, openly admitting her losing her virginity, rumors of her with, Colin Farrell and Fred Durst, when they mentioned his name, she said no comment and next question please.

She mentioned that the songs in her new album, carry some explicit and adult lyrics. One of the songs, I think it's "Touch of My Hand," mentions about pleasuring yourself. She didn't say it in a straightforward way, but she sort of hinted about it.

She looks great and conducts herself in a very adult manner. But occasionally, she will giggle or blush. She's now a woman, but the girl shows, every now and then.

Cheers to the San Jose Earthquakes

Although the game was not televised (would have loved to seen this game), they won over the Los Angeles Galaxy. Final score was Earthquakes 5 and Galaxy 2.

In a wild Game Two, the Galaxy took an early 2-0 lead to go up 4-0 on aggregate, but the Earthquakes rallied with five unanswered goals, including the game-winner by Rodrigo Faria in the sixth minute of extra time. San Jose will play K.C. in the Western Conference title game on Saturday.

It must have been scary for Earthquakes fans, to see them losing. But icing on the cake, when they came out winners.

Go Earthquakes!
*Note: Nice picture of a shirtless Landon Donovan, in the sports section of the "San Jose Mercury News".

Explore America's 10 best cities afoot

New York is #1 and San Francisco is #2.

I've been in NY, twice in my life time. I sure did do a lot of walking while I was there. So, many places to see and explore. I really didn't see as much, as I wanted to. I got to walk the streets of downtown New York.

As for my hometown, San Francisco. I've walked the streets of my neighborhood (Sunset district). I'm just a few minutes away from the Golden Gate Park. I miss my lunch walks, in downtown SF. Everything was accessible, by walking. My strolls through Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39.

Even though, I moved to the Peninsula and now work in San Jose. Walking is still a part of my daily routine.

6 Months!

It's six months of married bliss. Time sure does fly by!

Ironically, I took today off. Not only for our anniversary, but I needed to get a passport. Before the questions, start flying about where I'm traveling to. I'm not. Just that it could be handy just in case. Also, the last time, I had a passport, was 21 years ago. I went on a trip with my mom, to the Phillipines.

So...Happy Six Wonderful Months with my sweetheart. "Hugs and Kisses" XOXO
