A teacher discovered a 4 year old from Illinois who brought candy to school was really cocaine. I read this story about 2 days ago on the web.
Seems that the 4 year old's classmates told the teacher that she brought candy. The teacher searched the child's pockets and discovered the crack cocaine. The child said that she discovered "the candy" in a plastic baggie on her mom's dresser table.
Police questioned the mother and her excuse was "someone left them there" or what about this one: "the spring wind blew it in and it landed on my dresser."
The 4 year old and her siblings (ages 2 and 1) were taken in custody by the child welfare.
There were very strong winds today. As my co-workers and I were walking back to the building from lunch. The wind became very gusty. Our hairs were flying all over the place. One of my co-workers jokingly told the other "hey you better hang on to your toupee or wig."
No matter how bad a day or busy day I am having, she manages to make me laugh and forget about things.
It's people like that who have a sense of humor that make the day go by quickly.
To my surprise, I was not the victim of an April Fool's joke. Though some people in the office were. I had a fairly quiet day actually.
Just minded my own business and did my work. During the end of my work day I did start to yawn and my eyes were feeling very tired. All I wanted to do was sleep.
I had no idea that they were going to make a movie about the famous cat who loves lasagne! I found out about it when I was at a movie theater and saw the poster. I'm not too crazy about Garfield, but I do like Odie. Remember those stuffed Garfields that had suction and million of cars had them on their windows? Well, I have one of Odie.
Here's the plot to the movie: Garfield (voiced by Bill Murray), who competes with a dog named Odie for the affection and attention of their human master, Jon Arbuckle (Meyer), when Odie is introduced into their home much to Garfield's disgust. When Odie is kidnapped by a mean dog trainer, however, Garfield feels responsible, so he gets off his favorite spot and gets into action to rescue his fellow pet... (Jennifer Love Hewitt plays Liz, Garfield's veterinarian and romantic interest; Cannon plays a "city mouse" who helps Garfield in his search; Messing voices Arlene, Garfield's girlfriend.
An American seventeen year-old named Daphne Reynolds (Amanda Bynes) goes to England in search of meeting her father, who has no idea that he fathered a child. Henry Dashwood (Colin Firth) is a wealthy politician and is running for office. She is eager to meet him but because of the election she knows that it can cause a scandal. Daphne's mother Libby (Kelly Preston) and Henry were never legally married. They were married in a ceremony in Morrocco where they first met each other. Libby was a musician and Henry's family were not keen of the idea of their son being involved with a commoner. So she leaves and 17 years later Henry comes face to face with a daughter he never knew existed.
Henry is engaged and his fiance has a daughter. His fiance Glynnis Payne (Anna Chancellor) and her daughter Clarissa Payner (Christina Cole) are only there for the wealth and being part of society. Clarissa is the spoiled brat who feels threatened when Daphne appears. She even tries to botch Daphne's first appearance at a modeling show. If any, Daphne got all the attention and Clarissa starts to pout.
Daphne meets a fellow Ian Wallace a up and coming singer. Ironic huh? History repeats itself...Henry from a wealthy family and Libby a musician. Daphne who's father is from a wealthy family and Ian a musician??
Ian (Oliver James) isn't a bad singer. In reality, Oliver does his singing in the movie and on the soundtrack as well.
The movie was cute. But you tend to get tired of Amanda Byne's clumsiness, quirkiness and head bobbing. The actor's playing Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry and the Queen Mother were very convincing.
