I Just Can't Believe It

Well, sorry to say Jennifer Hudson was voted off of American Idol. Her journey ended tonight. I was very surprised to see the bottom three "Jennifer Hudson, Latoya London and Fantasia Barrino".

Still safe is John Stevens. This guy is cute and yes he reminds all of us like Clay Aiken but his really doesn't have THE best voice. He's likeable and admirable but can he real be a star? Does he have the potential to be a great singer?

It is very clear that it's a popularity contest. The competition is very much different than the First American Idol and Second American Idol.

I'm not sure if I have faith in the viewers at this point. It is sad to see Jennifer go. This wasn't fair.

Best of luck to the others, cause John Stevens seems to be a tough one to beat.

Manilow Magic

Barry Manilow was not only the guest judge but also the theme of the night was his songs. During rehearsals, Barry was very funny and he gave his support on the songs that they chose. He even arranged it differently to fit each contestants singing style. It was very entertaining to hear the contestants sing their versions of his songs.

First up was Diana DeGarmo sang "One Voice". It was a bit wobbly in the beginning, but once she got going it turned good. She was able to hit those notes.

Next was George Huff, he sang "Trying to Get The Feeling" now he had that Teddy Pendergrass voice and tried to make something of this song. It was okay, but lately his choices for songs aren't that good. This song was not right for him. It was good but not his best.

Then it was Jennifer Hudson, she sang "Weekend In New England". I love this song. Jennifer put her personal touch on this song and brought the house down. It was good.

It was Jasmine Trias up to sing "I'll Never Love This Way Again". Now Barry didn't sing this song, Dionne Warwick did, but he did write it. This was a perfect song for Jasmine. She did very well and this time she hit each and every note. Way to go Jasmine!

Up came Fantasia Barrino. She sang "It's A Miracle" and this woman can sing! Barry sang it in an upbeat tone but Fantasia brought it up a notch more "BAM!" She put a lot of soul and change this song into a gospel tune. It was very good too. It was funny to see Barry sing his version and then Fantasia did hers (this was shown in a clip when they were rehearsing) and Barry had this expression like "damn she blew me away."

Next was John Stevens to sing "Mandy". He started good but then his voice started to crack and it wasn't really his song.

Last but not least was Latoya London. She sang "All the Time" and again this is a favorite song of mine. Barry's version was slow and full of emotion. Latoya had the same style but with her style she had a good touch to the song. She did very well.

I agree with what Simon commented. He said that the girls sang very well and they are starting to show their true talent. He asked Barry what did he do to them?

It's going to be tough to say who will be voted out tonight. My choice of the bottom three are: John Stevens, George Huff and Diana DeGarmo. As for who should be voted out? It's between John Stevens and Diana DeGarmo.

Tonight's has a treat. Mr. Manilow and the contestants will be performing together.
Hmmmm I wonder what song they will be singing?

I Love This Man

Just when I am feeling down this person knows how to pick me up and chase all the sadness away. I was at work and I got a call from the receptionist saying that there is something at the front desk for me. I had to think for a moment to try and remember if I ordered anything from the court. But then I realized who it could from.

My wonderful husband sent me a very cute bouquet of flowers. It was arranged very nicely in a little basket. The flowers were white, yellow, purple and pink. Some were daisies and the others I think were mums.

Everyone thought they were beautiful. They smelled nice.

Thank you Skeeter!
