Just as expected, Jasmine was voted off on American Idol. She knew it was her time to go and she left with her trademark smile. There were no tears. Although Fantasia was the one with tears. I'm not sure if it was tears of happiness or sadness. Or it could be both. Although Jasmine will not be the "American Idol" she has a huge fan following. She couldn't believe the crowd of people at the airport when she had to fly back to Los Angeles. Even though she didn't win, I'm sure she has made a name of herself. Good luck Jazz!
Now for the final TWO! Very good choice. I'm amazed at how Fantasia has performed. She's done very well in competition. There were some bad choices of songs but she seems to pull it off. She has a cocky attitude and then there can be a soft side to her.
Then there is Diana. Very spunky, exuberent and youth. She appeals to the teen fans. Girls who have a dream of becoming the next Christina Aguilera or Britney Spears. But this chick has a very powerful voice and she knows how to use it.
So it's a toss up. Each one is different and has a certain persona about them. It's up to the voters. May the best one win.
It seems that there was this event going on at the HP Pavilion. The morning traffic was awful. It was grid lock. Parking lots were full. I got fed up with the waiting in the shuttle bus and decided to walk to work. As I was walking I didn't see the shuttle bus pass by, I guess it was still sitting in traffic.
There was this thing called "Get Motivated". It started at 7 a.m. and lasted 9 hours! On my way home, traffic wasn't that bad and the streets weren't congested. But I did see people walking back to their cars. It ended around 5 p.m..
As I was waiting for my train. There was a married couple and a man talking about the seminar. The couple purchased the books and tapes. The man said he is thinking about buying the stuff. I overheard their conversation. They said that the speakers were very good and to their point. Then they spoke of investment and mentioned something about earning money. The couple said they don't mind 33% and the man said he would settle for 17%. So it's one of those bait them, convince them and give me your money organization.
Whew! It was a good game and San Jose came out on top. Now the series is tied with the Calgary Flames (2 wins) and San Jose Sharks (2 wins). The Flames were trying hard to score which ended up with some fists flying.
Game 5 will be in San Jose tomorrow. The street in front of the Shark Tank will be closed off for some music and pre game activites. Hordes of fans will be supporting the team with their jerseys, t shirts, hats, jackets and signs.
I heard about Albertson's enforcing "self check-outs". I first saw this at Home Depot. It's suppose to make this faster and convenient for customers.
Well yesterday we experienced it at Albertson's for the first time. Of course you scan, bag and pay. Problem is when you have certain items such as; vegetables, fruits, nuts or coffee it will ask what kind of item. You then have to type in the letters and the screen will show the items it thinks it is and you press that button. If you have coupons, you press coupons and then scan it. Sometimes it doesn't work and then you will have to manually do it. It was frustrating us a bit. As you put items in the bag becareful as not to touch certain areas cause the screen will say "unidentified item". It's very sensitive. Hearing the woman's voice can be annoying too. Once you are done scanning your items, bagging them and paying for it. Now you can remove the bags and you are done.
There are some that know the procedure and can do this quick. But if you have a lot of items and for those who are elderly it may take some time for them and most likely hold up the line.
