Well I got up this early and had my hair highlighted. It doesn't look that bad. It will take some time to get used to it. What with the sun out, it sure does look noticeable.
It took 2 hours (due to interruptions) but it turned out nice. I also got my split ends trimmed too.
There were a lot of calls from people wanting their hair highlighted. Even as my hair was getting trimmed a woman walked in and said she wanted hers highlighted. I guess cause it's almost summer and the weather is going to start becoming warm.
I've seen stories and show talking about cosmetic surgery and the fountain of youth. People having face lifts, botox, collagen, breast enlargements and permanent makeup.
With all this talk I've never really spoke to anyone who had this until yesterday. I know two people who have had permanent eyeliner. One lady had it done on her upper and lower. The other just had the lower. They said if they had the choice to go through birth or having the procedure, they would pick childbirth anytime. The procedure is very painful and it took about between an hour or two. No thanks, I will stick with eyeliner.
As for botox. The lady who just had the lower eyelid done also botox. She has had it done and she said she would do it again. The skin between her eyebrows are smooth without any sign of wrinkles. Her doctor did a great job.
Okay as for permanent lipstick that doesn't sound like a great idea. To wear the same lipstick for the rest of your life doesn't seem right. What if the person wants to change the color does that mean that she has the old one removed and a new one put one?
Ouch!
Hard to believe that San Francisco is in the top five. Las Vegas was number one and Florida is third behind San Francisco.
Vegas being the playground for adults will be crowded and of course hotel rooms will be very expensive.
As for San Francisco not sure why they picked it. Could be that "Carnival" is this weekend. This is the traditional celebration with people dressed in scantily outfits or if you watch very careful they aren't wearing anything at all. Maybe just a hat and shoes for the men. The women have body paint to camouflaged themselves. They do have a big turnout.
As for Florida it would be Disneyworld. Playground for the kids, adults and teens. All the amusements parks will be crowded.
The alarm clock goes off. It's time to get up and go to the gym. Suddenly the sound of water is coming down on the street. Bill goes out to fetch the newspaper and says "honey it's rainning." We decide to skip the gym.
The past days there have been clouds but no rain. Maybe in some other parts of the bay area.
I just hope this 3 day weekend won't be a wet one. That would be a total bummer. :(
Last night was the season finale for "American Idol" 3. The show was 2 hours long and of course they dragged it until the very end to announce the winner. It was a bit boring so ever now and then I would surf the channels.
There were some great moments with Kelly Clarkeson, Ruben Studdard, Diana Di Garmo and Fantasia Borrino singing their version of "The Impossible Dream." Then there was the medley of songs of the guest judges sung by the 12 finalists including Diana and Fantasia.
The little clip with Barry Manilow and the makeup artist made me laugh. She didn't know who Barry was and Barry kept saying in a soft voice, I'm Barry. She pushed him aside, passed him and went straight to the guy playing the keyboard. The lady who told the make up artist to powder Barry's nose was cracking up. The makeup artist was embarrassed and walked away. She thought Barry was an african american. Barry was in shock that she didn't recognized him and said a remark but he got bleeped cause he used a profanity word.
Fantasia won fair and square. She was so emotional with her performance that at one point she broke the clasp on her bracelet or necklace. Then when she found out that she won, she broke the heel on one of her shoes. I guess you might say she was falling apart.
